Hear twelve aesthetic leaders debate implants, lifts and liposuction
The breast and body aesthetic symposium Aesthetic All-Stars: Face & Body Intensive records sessions from the Winning Combination 2024 meeting, where William P. Adams Jr., Simeon Wall Jr., Jennifer Walden and colleagues discuss abdominoplasty and lower body lifts, BBL safety, UAL versus PAL, high-definition liposuction, implant surfaces, scaffolds, explantation and capsulectomy.

The programme
Abdominoplasty and lower body lifting
Early sessions plan lower body lifts and full tummy tucks around BMI, with diastasis repair, adjunct liposuction and scar placement treated as core decisions. A four-flap umbilicoplasty is presented for a discreet navel scar.
Post-weight-loss staging and higher BMI
Speakers discuss the growing number of massive-weight-loss patients and recommend operating in planned stages. The lower body is lifted first, with the upper body scheduled as a separate procedure.
Gluteal fat grafting and liposuction choices
One presenter explains a shift from exaggerated curves towards athletic BBL results and speaks candidly about gluteal fat-grafting risk and ultrasound guidance. A panel compares UAL with PAL and when larger or smaller cannulas perform better.
Implant technology in the breast and body aesthetic symposium
A dedicated session traces implant generations and the move to ISO surface-finish terminology in place of smooth versus textured labels. Motiva devices are reviewed, alongside dual plane versus subfascial placement with scaffold support.
Explantation, capsulectomy and high-definition contouring
Explant surgery is examined from patient motivation to expected appearance, with clear indications for capsulectomy by implant type, age and history. The closing session analyses high-definition liposuction, overcorrection and how cultural preferences influence demand.
Who it’s for
- Aesthetic plastic surgeons compare peer approaches to body lifts, BBL and breast implant decisions
- Cosmetic surgeons update their understanding of implant surfaces, scaffolds and explant indications
- Residents and fellows hear senior faculty reason through complex body-contouring cases
- Nurses and physician assistants in aesthetic practices understand procedures their patients ask about
The consult
Is facial and rhinoplasty content included?
The meeting had a face and rhinoplasty track, but these seven sessions focus on breast and body topics only. Buyers seeking facial teaching should look elsewhere.
Do the session titles match their content?
Not always. Several titles list combined procedures while the summaries describe one theme — for example, a session titled for implant removal is mainly a liposuction discussion.
Does it include live surgery?
Session titles reference procedures, and the symposium included live demonstrations, but the summaries mostly describe lectures and panels. It is no substitute for hands-on supervised training.
Who is on the faculty?
Twelve surgeons, including Jamil Ahmad, Caroline Glicksman, Melinda Haws, Ashkan Ghavami, Douglas S. Steinbrech and Nolan S. Karp.
How long can I keep watching?
For good — you can open the recordings as soon as the purchase completes and revisit them whenever needed.
Do I get CME credit or a certificate?
No. Derma Academy provides the course files only — no CME or CE credits, MOC points or certificates of completion are included.
