The programme
Anatomy, airway physiology and the difficult patient
Foundation lectures trace the path from Joseph-era reduction to preservation, explain what matters in nasal obstruction and apply physiology to surgical planning. Mark B. Constantian addresses body dysmorphic disorder, and further sessions cover light-and-shadow analysis and cephalometry.
Preservation and hybrid technique in the rhinoplasty mentoring program
The largest technical module covers the Ishida step-by-step method, spare roof, SPQR and SPAR, cartilaginous push-down with bony cap preservation and diamond-burr structured work. Hybrid strategies for the Latin nose and septocaudal replacement add further perspective.
Tipplasty and ultrasonic bone work
Ali Evlice outlines his tipplasty sequence, joined by sessions on tip refinement and autologous membrane camouflage. A piezo module features Olivier Gerbault’s ultrasonic rhinoplasty and fishbone piezo osteotomies.
Reconstruction, revision and complex noses
Frederick Menick on nasal reconstruction and Sam P. Most on the functional-reconstructive spectrum open a module that also tackles stigmata avoidance, grafts in secondary cases, nasal infection and genioplasty as a profile adjunct.
Article reviews, live talks and case documentation
Journal-club sessions examine dissection planes, high radix management and nonsurgical rhinoplasty. Nearly forty hours of live talks and masterclasses follow, before a closing module by Juan Tommasino on photographing, editing and presenting rhinoplasty cases.
Who it’s for
- Plastic surgeons broaden their rhinoplasty repertoire across preservation, structured and hybrid schools
- Maxillofacial surgeons integrate piezo osteotomies and profile balancing into nasal surgery
- Revision rhinoplasty surgeons study reconstruction and secondary grafting from leading specialists
The consult
Is everything presented in English?
Most sessions are English, but several lessons carry Spanish titles — including universal 15-step rhinoplasty, septocaudal replacement and hybrid rhinoplasty in the Latin nose — and one immunology class is marked as subtitled. Expect some non-English segments.
How is it different from HARM 2.0 and Rhino de A-Z?
HARM 2.0 is a shorter 2023 programme with a smaller faculty, and Rhino de A-Z is Nakamura’s Portuguese course built on his own operations. This series is a far larger multi-faculty library, so some topics may echo those products.
Are all lesson topics identified?
Many live talks are titled only by the speaker’s name, and entries such as “World Summit” and “Legacy” give no subject detail. The content of those recordings is discovered on viewing.
Does it include operative footage?
The library is mainly masterclasses, case and article discussions and live talks, with step-by-step technique sessions inside. It supplements, and does not replace, supervised surgical mentorship.
Can I start right after buying?
Yes — all eight modules are opened to you upon payment, and with over a hundred hours to cover, there is no expiry on your access.
Do I get CME credit or a certificate?
No. Derma Academy provides the course files only — no CME or CE credits, MOC points or certificates of completion are included.
