The programme
Structure rhinoplasty fundamentals
The opening volume runs five hours across three cases: a dorsal hump with a bulbous tip, a saddle deformity and an external approach to severe tip asymmetry. Together they establish the structural principles applied in every later operation.
Deviated noses in primary surgery
Two volumes address crooked noses — a three-hour case with an asymmetric tip and a ninety-minute male septorhinoplasty. A further primary case combines structural grafting with chin augmentation to balance profile.
Costal cartilage in the Toriumi rhinoplasty video library
Rib grafting drives three volumes, including Asian augmentation paired with upper blepharoplasty and a live demonstration filmed at the 2015 AAFPRS Advances in Rhinoplasty meeting. A secondary case uses rib to rebuild collapsed nasal structure.
Secondary problems & the masculine nose
Revision volumes target an over-rotated nose with alar retraction and the restoration of a masculine nasal shape after previous surgery. Each runs two to two and a half hours, giving room to see every corrective step.
Cleft lip nasal deformity
A dedicated two-hour volume applies structural grafting to definitive correction of the unilateral cleft lip nose. It shows how the same principles extend to congenital asymmetry.
Who it’s for
- Facial plastic surgeons watch unedited expert cases instead of highlight reels
- ENT surgeons performing rhinoplasty see airway and aesthetic steps handled together
- Surgeons adopting rib grafting follow harvest and carving in several contexts
- Fellows and senior residents study a structured library of common and complex noses
The consult
Is it really 27 hours of video?
It is promoted as over 27 hours, but the stated time for each volume adds up to about 26.5 hours of surgery.
How recent are the recordings?
No production year is given. Volume 4 was filmed at the 2015 AAFPRS meeting, so some footage is roughly a decade old.
Are anatomy explanations included or only raw surgery?
Medical illustrations are inserted throughout the operations to clarify anatomy at key moments.
Will the library prepare me to operate unsupervised?
It is an observation resource for trained surgeons and does not replace supervised surgical training.
Does my access ever expire?
No — every volume is unlocked as soon as payment completes, and you may keep watching indefinitely.
Do I get CME credit or a certificate?
No. Derma Academy provides the course files only — no CME or CE credits, MOC points or certificates of completion are included.
