See facial layers, vessels and fat compartments before you inject
The Cotofana facial anatomy course walks through a full-face fresh-cadaver dissection, tracing the facial layers, temple and jawline anatomy, upper-third vessels and fat compartments, the Domino Effect concept of facial biomechanics and a 22G cannula approach to the nasolabial sulcus, all linked directly to safer filler planes.

The programme
Layered architecture of the face
The opening lesson separates the face into its successive tissue layers on a dissected specimen. Seeing skin, fat, muscle and deeper planes stacked in order gives every later injection discussion a clear anatomical reference point.
Temple volumisation in the Cotofana facial anatomy course
Two short lessons focus on the temporal region, comparing injectable approaches and then detailing a supraperiosteal technique over the temporalis. Professor Cotofana keeps neighbouring arteries and bony landmarks in view so depth decisions stay anatomically grounded.
Jawline structure up close
A thirteen-minute segment examines the mandibular border and the soft tissues that shape the jawline. The close camera work helps injectors connect the contour they see in clinic with what lies underneath.
The Domino Effect & facial biomechanics
Dissection of lateral and medial facial zones explains how treating one area can produce a collateral lift elsewhere. The lesson frames this minimally invasive concept around Art Filler Volume and the behaviour of interconnected tissue layers.
Upper third vessels, ROOF & safer planes
The forehead and brow region is opened to reveal arteries, nerves, the ROOF, the RFFC and the fascial sheets between them. From that view the professor identifies the plane he considers safer for soft-tissue filler placement.
Midface ageing & the nasolabial sulcus
The final lesson relates repeated expression and midface ageing to the depth of the nasolabial sulcus. A dermal access point with a 22G cannula is demonstrated for repositioning the sulcus, including how to handle resistance along the path.
Who it’s for
- Aesthetic injectors anchor temple, jawline and midface treatments in real cadaver anatomy
- Dermatologists refresh vascular and fat-compartment knowledge in a compact format
- Plastic surgeons revisit upper-third planes and ligamentous structures from an injector’s angle
- Trainers and mentors use concise dissection clips to support anatomy teaching
The consult
Is this a full injection course or an anatomy review?
It is primarily an anatomy review. Some lessons show injection approaches for the temples and the nasolabial sulcus, but the emphasis is on dissection and on understanding planes rather than step-by-step treatment protocols.
How long is each lesson?
Lessons are short, ranging from four to fifteen minutes, which makes the whole set of seven easy to watch in a single sitting or revisit by region.
Is there another language edition?
This product is the English version. A Portuguese edition of the same anatomy review exists as a separate product, so choose the language you prefer before buying.
Will watching it make me ready to inject these areas?
No. The dissections deepen anatomical understanding, but the course does not replace supervised clinical training or hands-on injection practice.
How soon can I start watching?
You can open the lessons straight after checkout, and your access never expires.
Do I get CME credit or a certificate?
No. Derma Academy provides the course files only — no CME or CE credits, MOC points or certificates of completion are included.
