The programme
Radiofrequency, ultrasound & tightening claims
Speakers question whether aesthetic ultrasound earns its place, compare RF needling with and without thulium, and examine quantum RF, monopolar tightening and a new microwave platform. Each claim is set against the evidence a sceptical colleague would ask for.
Vascular birthmarks, rosacea & light sources
State-of-the-art vascular lesion care, port-wine birthmark treatment, KTP for refractory stains and smart broadband light are argued side by side. A direct question on whether KTP matches PDL for rosacea gives the block its sharpest moment.
Acne lasers, scars & keloids
The science and trial data behind 1726 nm devices for acne meet talks on hidradenitis RF needling, TCA plus resurfacing for acne scars and long-pulsed Nd:YAG for keloids. Non-ablative YAG and 2910 nm options for surgical scars complete the scar discussion.
Pigment & darker skin types in the cosmetic laser debate videos
Fractional CO2 and ablative fractional resurfacing in skin of colour, focal-point technology and sub-whitening picosecond settings are weighed for safety. Melasma lessons, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation and new topical lighteners add practical pigment guidance.
Complications & the unhappy patient
Filler-related blindness, ablative resurfacing setbacks, infections after 1927 nm treatment and reactions to vitamin C with microneedling are dissected openly. Further talks address the psychological weight of complications and how to handle dissatisfied cosmetic patients.
Toxins, regulation & artificial intelligence
Microdroplet toxin technique, predicting platysma responders and botulinum product comparisons sit beside debates on MedSpa oversight and device support after production ends. Several presenters examine ChatGPT, AI outcome tools and personalised dermatology.
Who it’s for
- Cosmetic dermatologists test device marketing against the views of experienced laser users
- Laser surgeons compare wavelength choices for vascular, pigment, acne and scar indications
- Plastic surgeons and aesthetic physicians gain balanced perspectives before investing in new technology
The consult
How are the videos structured?
Most files pair two related talks in roughly five to ten minutes, so each video moves quickly between a position and its counterpoint.
Are slides or handouts included?
No — the set is video only, with no PDF material supplied.
Is this the same event as another laser symposium page in the store?
It covers the 2025 meeting of this symposium series, which may also be offered in a differently packaged version. Compare the video counts before buying both.
Which faculty present?
Speakers include Roy Geronemus, Suzanne Kilmer, Jean Carruthers, Christopher Zachary, Andrew Alexis, E. Victor Ross and many other laser specialists.
Can I watch straight away?
Yes — the recordings unlock as soon as payment is processed and remain available without expiry.
Do I get CME credit or a certificate?
No. Derma Academy provides the course files only — no CME or CE credits, MOC points or certificates of completion are included.
