Combine lasers, devices and injectables in evidence-led skin practice
The aesthetic laser therapy course records a two-day symposium with Mathew Avram, R. Rox Anderson, Nowell Solish, H. Ray Jalian and colleagues, spanning energy-device physics and safety, rosacea, tattoos, melasma, fractional and ablative resurfacing, scars, acne, skin of color, exosomes, hair restoration, GLP-1 skin laxity, toxin and filler workshops and complications.

The programme
Energy-device basics & core indications
A four-hour opening module explains device-skin interaction, light sources and safety, then moves through rosacea and telangiectasia, tattoo removal, pigment and photoaging, rhytides, melasma and tissue tightening. Clinical endpoints and live question sessions punctuate the talks.
Resurfacing choices & when not to treat
Speakers compare non-ablative, ablative and fractional platforms, debate whether ablative work remains the reference standard and cover periorbital rejuvenation. A separate talk focuses on cases where restraint is the safer decision.
Medical indications & skin of color
Scar treatment, hemangiomas and port-wine stains, device-based acne care and fractional drug delivery form the medical block. Dedicated sessions then address darker skin types, dyschromia in Asian patients, xanthelasma and vascular birthmarks that should not be lasered.
Skin health, hair & body in the aesthetic laser therapy course
The second day examines cosmeceuticals, exosomes, nutrition and supplements, lasers for skin-cancer prevention and regenerative hair restoration. Body contouring talks pair injectables with tightening devices and consider laxity after GLP-1 weight loss.
Toxin & filler workshop
Nearly two hours cover botulinum toxin anatomy, filler indications and augmentation complications, followed by video demonstrations for the upper face, lower face and pan-facial PLLA. Anaesthesia and peri-procedure aftercare pearls round out the practical content.
Debates, errors & emerging technology
Closing sessions challenge aesthetic dogmas, review influential recent papers, discuss mistakes and complications, and preview laboratory innovations. A Wellman anniversary showcase and new laser applications end the programme.
Who it’s for
- Dermatologists update device selection, resurfacing and pigment strategies in one recording
- Plastic surgeons integrate energy-based devices with toxins and fillers
- Aesthetic physicians review complications, skin of color and medico-legal pitfalls
- Laser clinic leads follow current debates and emerging technologies
The consult
Who teaches beyond the six headline names?
Many more speakers appear by module, including Suzanne Kilmer, Omar Ibrahimi, Molly Wanner, Andrew Alexis, Jean Carruthers and Dieter Manstein.
Are the question-and-answer sessions included?
Yes — the recorded discussions follow most talk blocks, plus an open ask-me-anything session on lasers, devices and injectables.
Is there a shorter laser-only alternative?
The ASLMS laser fundamentals course in this store covers core physics and safety in under seven hours; this programme is broader and adds injectables, skin health and body topics.
Does it teach hands-on device operation?
No — it consists of recorded lectures and demonstrations and does not replace supervised device or injection training.
How long will I keep access?
Access starts immediately after you pay and has no end date, so the sixteen hours can be watched at your own pace.
Do I get CME credit or a certificate?
No. Derma Academy provides the course files only — no CME or CE credits, MOC points or certificates of completion are included.
